Taipei Bureau of Education plans to set up ”Taipei City Educational Portal Site” (hereafter referred to as TCE) for integrating current learning and education resources to provide teachers, students and parents with a detailed and abundant database of teaching reference and material.

“Grade 1-9 curriculum” emphasizes merging information technology with individual academic subject to multiply teaching materials for teachers and bringing up students’ capacity for IT knowledge. Togo with the curriculum, “ Teaching Resources Center” is thus designed as an interface to publicize teaching management, on-line lesson plans and “exam database” to facilitate effective implementation and interflow of respective teaching resources.

Up to the present, TCE provides the “Grade 1-9 Search Engine” service to focus on the Grade 1-9 learning areas. In addition, Cyber Interactive Community is constructed to put interactive teaching and learning into practice and also functions as the public forum where teachers, students, and parents can share their ideas over this platform to promote the intercommunication, participation and learning attitude among three parties. On-line message boards named “Cool Family ” and “Community Interflow” will also be established to enable real-time messages exchanges. Teachers may even set up exclusive “Happy Class” message boards for their own classes.
At the same time, there will be regular update for education-related issues to enlarge the content of the website. Those issues include the complete “Feature Story”, “Study Together “ , which encourage reading and discussion while “On-line Study Group”, “Hot Events”, and “New Release” provide various information on upcoming activities and latest news.

In the near future, TCE will lead in more education and teaching resources, pushing forward significant education activities to create an effective education entry platform that plays an important role in converging education-related resources.
